While everyone’s busy deciding if Suri’s too old to still be drinking from a bottle, Star Magazine is reporting that it’s WHAT’S IN that bottle that we should be talking about! According to Star’s sources, 2-year-old Suri has been drinking a formula invented by the Church of Scientology since she was born:
“It’s barley water, organic milk and organic raw honey,” a family friend reveals. “The Cruise’s personal chef prepares it. Sometimes it coagulates into an unappetizing yellow….
While nearly all doctors recommend breast milk, Scientology founder, science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard “insisted that all babies be put on the barley formula,” former Scientology center staffer Skip Press tells Star. “Hubbard claimed he discovered it on his ‘whole track’ [or past life] spent with early Roman soldiers.”
Wait, Gorgeouses, THERE’S MORE….
But, the Cruise family friend says, Suri isn’t done with her Scientology formula yet. “She was started on this at birth,” says the pal. “She’s taking it three times a day and will still probably get it until she’s 5 years old. Scientologists believe breast milk is unhealthy.”
Wow wow wow wow wow. WOW WOW. WOW.
I’m not one to diss other people’s bizarre cults religions, nor am I one to diss people parenting practices — like how they choose to feed their babies — but, isn’t raw honey DANGEROUS for babies under 1? Like, BOTULISM??? And, straight cow’s milk is better than human milk for human babies? Really? Wha? WTF?!?
And, why “barley water”? Why not rice or quinoa water? Or, millet or wheat-berry water? Is it to make the formula sound more biblical? For some reason “barley” evokes BIBLE. Hmmm…. I am SO on to them….
Fortunately, Suri looks beautiful and healthy and all not-ridden-with-botulism. So, I’m not worried AT ALL about her…. Well…, at least not about her diet…. What do you think of this, Gorgeouses!?!

I just have to say that no matter if you don’t want to have an opinion about other people’s parenting skills or not… I would say that this is SICK.
Strange that with a religion called Scientology (with the base word being Science) a religion could go SOOOO against science and what we know for sure and put little people (and probably big ones too, for that matter) at risk all based on what someone says they knew from a past life?!?
Total WTF.

I know I could never be a part of any religion or group that tried to tell me I could not breast feed my child. Or any that said I had to, either. I think the best person to make decisions for my children are their parents, not some dead guy that went to live in a galaxy far, far away.

beyond weird. and I IMMEDIATELY thought of botulism too. eek.

They think breastmilk is UNHEALTHY?!? That is bizarre.
Oh, wait. Can someone please help me? I can’t stop rolling my eyes.

I think Suri should have whatever L Ron Hubbard says. After all, he’s her real father. Just look at the picture of the fair-haired, blue-eyed kid.
