Remember this shirt we talked about a little while ago?:

Well, I’ve read a LOT more about the harm that the meat and dairy industries do to the environment, to your body, and — most traumatizing read OF the century — to animals. I haven’t been able to sleep lately because of the things I’ve read. I empathize so much with animals…. It’s a bit of a curse in this life because there’s VERY LITTLE that I can do to fix the cruelty…. Among the LITTLE I CAN DO is speak briefly about it now and then on my blogs, and speak out against this STUPID shirt AGAIN…. (Gorgeouses who don’t want to read it don’t have to…, but I have to say something because I feel so passionately about the subject.)
Anyway, about this T-Shirt? This STUPID-ARSE T-shirt? I’ll just let Pamela Anderson do the talking for me:

Photograph by Pixelplanete / PR Photos.
While waiting to go into the Australian Big Brother house (HOLLAAAHHH!), Pam Anderson said this to an Australian radio station, in regard to the now infamous shirt: “I think [Jessica Simpson] is a bitch and whore…. Actually, I don’t know if she was talking about food or men.” Pam also said she’s proud of the fact that she doesn’t eat meat: “I think it’s healthy, good for your body and good for the environment.”
Here here! I know I can’t ask the world not to eat meat. For me, it’s a no-brainer…. Josh-O, however, eats meat at our dinner table. I have his leftover hamburger in the fridge. One of the monkey’s fave foods lately is salami…. While I can’t expect the world to go vegetarian, I CAN bring some awareness to the sad, scary fact that there’s serious sh-t happening to the animals that you eat (and to the WORKERS forced to inflict the sh-t, by the way). Sh-t that would imprison anyone who inflicted it on dogs or cats…. Just be aware. Maybe make one or two meals a week meatless, and, if possible, buy meat/chicken/eggs/milk from small, organic butchers….
I can also ask that celebrities not wear T-shirt slogans with f-ing ignorant implications.
Thanks for listening….

i can’t believe she wore that t-shirt, that is really dumb, but i’m not surprised, do you know any intelligent people who actually like jessica simpson?
she’s a total sell-out, she was probably paid by the meat industry to wear it – you know when this sh-t has hit mainstream when oprah criticizes the meat industry on her show, remember that a few years ago? i’ve been veg for a long time and the only dairy and eggs i eat are organic, i can’t stand the cruelty and i care about my health; did you know that they put arsenic on poultry feed?
junctionmama’s last blog post..Look out Linda Hamilton: here I come!

Jessica Simpson has never been known to be a very bright bulb…this just reinforces the fact that somewhat pretty on the outside does NOT equal pretty on the inside. Anyone who wears this type of shirt just reestablishes how ignorant, small-minded, and egotistical some people can be. It pisses me off when people are so self-righteous. Who do they think is destroying this lovely planet of ours?

I am not vegetarian but I do respect those who are, I understand why one would choose to be vegetarian or vegan and I really enjoy learning about both lifestyles….I could stand to learn alot more but sometimes intentionally turn a blind eye because I’m so afraid to know the truth. Pathetic I know.
When I saw Jessica’s tshirt I did wonder why the heck she would bother wearing it. It’s a stupid message. That said, I think Pam Anderson’s comments were equally as annoying. She didn’t have to call Jessica a bitch or a whore, why would she go there? I think Pam could have used her air time educating people rather than running down Jessica.

Pam handled this the wrong way in my opinion. I would hope that Peta would disagree with her behaviour.
