Katherine Heigl needs to do some serious PR work. I mean, her PR peeps need to do some serious hustling because the girl’s going DOWNHILL. She was doing great for a while there — with all the hit movies, the (slightly obnoxious) wedding — but then she had to open her mouth and diss the Grey’s Anatomy writers, etc., etc..

And, now LITTERING? Littering with a CIGARETTE BUTT. Yikes. Bad. Now she’s got not only writers but ENVIRONMENTALISTS and HEALTH ENTHUSIASTS (huh?) after her. Freaking yikes. Bad move.

Anyway, check it. The other day, Katherine threw her cigarette butt on the ground and a police officer made her pick it up. Here’s what a source for The Star says:

“The officer told Katherine to pick up the butt and throw it away in the trash, 10 feet away,” the source says. “He added that he’d fine her next time he catches her tossing trash on the sidewalk.

Ouch. But, seriously? 10 feet away from a garbage can?! Respect the Earth, man! I hope Katherine learned her lesson…. And, I hope her PR peeps get her to donate a tree or something….
